Earth week in El Gouna

Most of us associate Earth Week with school students and their activities, but in El Gouna, it’s a huge deal, for everyone! Since environmental awareness is an integral part of the El Gouna philosophy, two whole weeks in April, are spent by all of the El Gouna community to organize several entertaining and informative events around the Red Sea Resort to discuss, share, and enlighten all about sustainability, environmental awareness, and the preservation of our resources. Events include up-cycling of previously discarded products that can be re-imagined into new items, awareness trips El Gouna’s surrounding conservation sites to show both young and old how marine life is preserved, trips to several of El Gouna’s recycling and waste management facilities, a series of videos and public lectures, and a raft race, all happening and accessible to all living and visiting El Gouna! Believe us when we tell you that it is one of the most exciting times in El Gouna!
